These hand carved spreaders are made from naturally felled wood from local parks.

Wood is a great material to use for eating with as it is a natural insulator (won’t get too hot or cold) and is naturally anti-bacterial. Using a wooden spreader is a beautiful sensory experience, nearly silent, soft on the hands and pleasing to the eye.

Each spreader is hand carved using only an axe and knives. All the tool marks are left on the wood, so no sanding here! Each facet and cut tells the story of a handmade object.

Finished with a hand rubbed food safe linseed oil/beeswax mixture.

Paint - Painted with Old Fashioned Milk Paint: which is the faithful recreation of an ancient homemade paint formula, containing just milk protein (casein), lime and natural earth or mineral pigments, making it environmentally friendly, non-toxic, VOC-free, baby-safe, food-safe & biodegradable.

Four options to choose from (one of each in stock, plate not included):

Spreader 2 - Cherry - 210mm x 25mm - Sea Green handle
