"The Show Must Go On" storybox sculpture is a little scene set inside a vintage wooden ammunition box lid from the 1940's.

The stage background is a stunning antique miniature beadwork piece from the late 1800's. It is flanked either side by tiny curtains made from the pockets of a 1950's housewife's apron. The elephant is from the mid 1800's, and is a carved bovine bone charm.

The whole box is set on the tiniest of duck egg blue painted wooden beads for legs, which were originally the beads from a miniature vintage abacus from the 1960's. The words "the show must go on" is stamped in to copper, and set on to the front ledge.

It measures 13.5cm x 8cm (not including the clasp at the top, which is moveable).

Made from repurposed vintage and antique objects, and as such, my show signs of being timeworn.
