This beautifully detailed papercut features an owl set against a 'moon' made of flowers and foliage. Sarah has incorporated two different papercutting techniques in this piece, one where the background is cut away, in the other the foreground shape is cut out.
Sarah's inspiration for the papercut came partly from the welsh legend of 'Blodeuwedd' as retold in Alan Garner's wonderful book 'The Owl Service'. This is one of four similar papercuts, the others feature a hare, fox and badger.
This papercut is available in a limited edition of 10 and combines hand and machine cutting, which allows Sarah to produce work in affordable editions.
The papercut is lightly spray mounted on black mountboard, and is unframed. It will fit a standard 16 inch x 12 inch frame (approximately A3). It will be posted in a cellophane envelope, together with a label for affixing to the back of the frame, with Sarah's signature and the edition number.
This is part of a series of 4. If 2 are purchased you can enter MBHOSM10 at the checkout for a £10 discount. If 4 are purchased enter MBHOSM20 at the checkout for a £20 discount.
