"The Book Lover" is set inside a timeworn vintage oxo tin, from the 1930's. It features a lovely little book reading ladybird, which is a vintage painted wooden German Erzgebirge figure, circa 1950's.
The fabrics that line the insides are both vintage quilt fragments, from the early 1900's.
The quote "There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away" is by Emily Dickinson, and is typed on to vintage fabric fragments. The whole thing is hand sewn, and two little hand-crafted painted hearts have been added for embellishment.
Measures 6.5cm x 4cm x 2cm when closed, and 8cm x 6.5cm x 2cm max when open.
Please note that items may show signs of age wear, but this is part of their charm and design.
