This handsome Moon Jar has been thrown on the wheel using light stoneware clay from Cornwall. The light colour of the clay brightens the Tenmoku glaze.
The neck is accentuated with a Jun glaze and iron oxide on the rim that bleeds softly. The body is Tenmoku glaze. Both glazes are very ancient Chinese glazes and works together with the clay to enhance their colour.
