This ornate ring is part of my collection Interrupted Patterns.
In contrast to the Keum-Boo pieces of this collection, the decoration on this ring is raised and thus more three dimensional. It is created using delicate, oval, 18ct yellow-gold shapes and minute 18ct gold granules which are placed on a silver background in an arrangement of an irregular or interrupted pattern.
The oval top part of the ring is heavily textured and gently curves towards the back. The shank is made from D-section silver wire which is likewise textured on the outside and highly polished on the curved inside.
Size of oval: 20 x 15 mm; D-section shank: 2.4 x 1.4mm.
Handmade from recycled sterling silver, 18ct yellow Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold. All jewellery is made by myself in my workshop and all pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office.
