This hand built ceramic mug is made from dark brown earthenware clay. Sam references textiles and explores texture in her work. She applies her coloured liquid clay in a way that creates a bright, patterned surface, whilst allowing the dark earthenware to show through in places and create contrast.
The mug has a wonderfully bold pink and grey spotty pattern, is glazed white inside and measures 8cm tall x 10cm wide (not including handle). It holds approximately 350ml.
