These ear studs are made from 925 silver with 24ct Gold foil highlight. Using the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo.
The silver is annealed to bring a fine silver layer to the surface, which is then slightly removed using pumice powder. This process is repeated a number of time until the surface is ready to receive the 24ct gold foil. Each piece of gold foil is cut by hand and placed on the silver, then with a controlled heat the foil is then fused to the silver.
These earrings are below 7.78 grams in weight and is therefore exempt from hallmarking. As per the Hallmarking Act 1973 and subsequent amendments.
They measure 10mm x 11mm and weigh 0.7g.
