Hand-thrown teapot, perfect for two. It has been glazed with a delicate, pale green glaze made from wood ash gathered from the pottery stove.
An accent of a darker ash glaze has been dabbed on in places which has run in an attractive way. The unglazed areas have fired to a wonderfully rich and deep lustrous brown. These were brushed with a liquid slip, made from clay dug from the ditch just outside the pottery, prior to glazing the pot.
This teapot is a one-off, unique and in stock ready for immediate dispatch.
It measures 15cm high, 12.5cm wide (excluding handle and spout) and holds approximately 800ml.
