Deep in thought, a ceramic dog sits on a piece of driftwood beside a little flower...
Inspired by weathered colours and textures, Shirley Vauvelle has hand built this little earthenware clay dog. Assembled onto wave worn driftwood, he looks up to an earthenware flower upon a steel wire stem.
The hand built earthenware clay components are bisque fired, then hand coloured with under glazes and oxides before having a final firing at a higher temperature.
This one-of-a-kind sculpture measures 11cm x 4cm x 16cm.
