Wall-hung box framed textile/mixed-media artwork.
I live by the sea and it has a strong influence on my work. To create each framed piece I layer and stitch fabrics over and over to build layers. Then incorporate buttons and found trinkets, and wires (including silver) into the foreground to create a three-dimensional finish.
With the nature of the processes involved there can only ever be one. You will own a truly unique piece. Made from fabrics, buttons, silver & copper wire, found ephemera and presented in a glazed wooden box-frame.
The piece measures 34cm x 34cm.
