These ear studs are made from 925 silver with 24ct Gold foil highlight, using the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo.
The silver is annealed to bring a fine silver layer to the surface, which is then slightly removed using pumis powder. This process is repeated a number of times until the surface is ready to receive the 24ct gold foil. Each piece of gold foil is cut by hand and placed on the silver, then with a controlled heat the foil is fused to the silver.
As each piece is handmade yours will vary slightly from those pictured.
Please note: as weight is below 7.78 grams they are therefore exempt from hallmarking, as per the Hallmarking Act 1973 and subsequent amendments.
They measure 12mm across and weigh 1.5g.
