This beautiful 'Remade Stronger' original print is a handprinted collagraph created with pressed botanicals and sustainable inks. The pressed botanicals here are hydrangea and the non-inked impressions (debossed elements) are also formed from hydrangea petiolaris. The colours represent winter's inky hues and the reflections of moonlight. To show this I used both gold ink and highlights in 24ct gold leaf, including the kintsugi, poetic mend.
This monoprint was created using a unique printmaking technique, Monoprints are one-of-a-kind images, where ink is applied to a surface, then transferred to paper. I created this one using my Gunning press. Each print is distinct and cannot be replicated exactly.
