This large, handsome bottle is thrown on the wheel using porcelain and raku clay mix to aid the thermal shock during the firing process.
It is decorated with a Copper Wash solution and fired in a raku kiln with sawdust. The neck is polished with terra sigillata and is blackened by the burning sawdust. The neck is then polished to give contrast to the body of the bottle.
This is a one off piece and measures 41cm tall.
The raku firing process creates stunning tones within the glaze - each firing creates unique results.
Each bottle is sealed so that it can be used as a vase.
