A unique mug from my Oxide Decal Collection, inspired by combing the shoreline for lost treasures and sea-worn pottery. Reminiscent of Chinoiserie, or patterned ceramic tiles worn underfoot, this collection evokes memories of a tea service from childhood or a beloved Victorian artefact. The fragmented imagery suggests a new story each time, intriguing the observer and firing the imagination.

Each of these mugs is a one-off, created from porcelain and finished with clear and coloured food-safe glazes, suitable to be used and enjoyed every day. They are hand-thrown on a potters wheel and the surfaces treated with layered oxides, decals, slips and imprints, making each piece unique.
