This colourful handmade contemporary perspex Tribal necklace is sustainably made using recycled perspex and measures 20" long. It is very vibrant and really shines when it catches the light. Kinetic in nature, this looks very different from alternate angles. I was inspired to make it by looking at both traditional African Tribal necklaces and the lights and colours from clubs and stage lighting.
Each necklaces is unique and individually handmade. The acrylic is heated and the colours are pressed into its surface. then the design of the stripes are decided upon as the necklace is threaded on the silk. I designed the shapes so they really catch the light and the necklace becomes a stunning, dynamic, unique piece.
The predominant colours in this necklace are pinks and yellows. Handmade from 100% Recycled and Recyclable Acrylic (Perspex), Silk thread & Sterling Silver.
