I am working on some cheerful happy designs. This one seems to fit the bill. Like bubbles popping or flowers blooming, this design is truly joyful.
This handmade acrylic bangle or cuff is made using madder leaves. I collect, dry and press the leaves, then heat the acrylic and press the leaves into the surface. I then use them like a stencil to apply the colours. This is a method of dying and embossing plastic I developed myself. I call it Fossilized Plastic due to the fine detail which it is possible to capture on the embossed surface, so they are similar to fossils.
Handmade by Sue Gregor in the UK using 100% recycled and recyclable acrylic. This lime and blue cuff is measures 45mm wide with a 65mm diameter. It's a medium size (159mm length + 28mm gap).
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
