A one-off hand built white stoneware vase.
This is a tall cylinder vase that has been hand painted with bands of matt glaze, with draw lines scored through the glaze before firing. Bands of reactive clay slip are painted on in some areas: once fired, the glaze bubbles up to create a lava like effect.
It has a dark band of colour around the bottom.
This vase is one of a pair (Lava Vase 1 has sold) and is on the right in all images showing the pair.
This ceramic vase measures 9cm diameter x 15cm high.
