This silver bee has been oxidised to give it a darkened appearance, this contrasts well with the 24ct gold that is fused onto the wings.
The bee hangs on an oxidised silver trace chain that is approximately 45cm (18 inches) long. The bee measures approximately 2cm from the top of the loop to the ends of the wings.
The bee has been made by the lost wax casting process - it was first made in wax and then cast in 925 sterling silver.
