I am passionate about drawing, it’s my happiest place. This pendant brings together my joy for making, my desire to draw and my love for all things Italian - particularly Olive trees. The resilience of these trees is quite remarkable, as an evergreen species they exude their silvery leaved goodness all year round.
Inspired by my observations of the leaves, I draw with silver wire and bring my mark making to life as the oxidised ‘graphite’ marks dangle from a chain.
This is a one-off piece, handmade with recycled silver using traditional silversmithing techniques.
The pendant is 13 x 6.5 cm and is suspended on a 22 cm oxidised silver chain.
