Fairy Inkcaps

£180.00

Price includes UK p&p.

This item is for UK shipping only. See Delivery below.

A life size study of some Fairy Inkcaps, a common fungi in Britain that dissolves its cap in order to spread its spores.

The fungi have been hand carved from old book pages and covered with recycled tissue paper to create the cap and gills. The stalk is made from paper mache. They are growing from a section of bark, made from brown paper bags and cardboard.

The frame is handmade from solid wood and glass. It has been made from Ash wood and lightly oiled. It has a wire on the back so it will hang from a wall or it can stand on a shelf or mantelpiece.

In order to keep your piece looking its best, hang it away from direct sunlight and avoid areas where there is a lot of moisture such as in a bathroom.

This piece is 22 x 22 x 5cm.
