I use pins found from mudlarking along the River Thames and combine them with silver and hand stitched silk threads to make a range of jewellery inspired by the colours of the river and the history of the pins.
In medieval times, before buttons, pins were hand made & were used to hold clothing on - I love the connection through time to my hands making them wearable again and giving them a new chapter in their history.
These earrings measure approximately 2 - 2.5cm in length and 0.7cm - 1cm wide, depending on the size of pins. As each pair is handmade, yours will be as similar as possible to the ones shown here, but will vary slightly. The colours used are predominantly blue/grey/green. Any colour combination can be requested.
