This handmade oven dish is thrown on the wheel and a ripple has been put into the sides. It is made of dark stoneware clay from Cornwall. The clay has bits of ore in it that burst through the glaze as spots and speckles.
The rim is accentuated with iron oxide that bleeds into the glaze. The glaze is an ancient Jun glaze and works together with the clay to enhance its colour.
This handsome oven dish is 16cm wide by 7cm high. Great to cook and serve food.
