This tall vase is initially painted with bands of colour and reactive slip.
After firing, some areas are glazed and others are left unglazed. The bands where the reactive slip is glazed then bubble up once fired creating a lava like effect.
Some parts are hand drawn with ceramic pencil.
This stoneware vase is one of a group of three. It is 21cm high x 9cm diameter.
