I often spend time wandering the beaches near where I live or, whilst in Scotland, walk the edge of the waves. As I make my way along the shoreline, I can't help but be drawn to the vibrant colours and unique textures of the seaweed that wash up.
Searching the foreshore is a calming and meditative experience for me, as I connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the water, which I’m sure will resonate with many others.
This print describes the relationships between the pebble strewn seabed and the botanical elements, with the power of tides and storms.
This print is 39.5cm x 26.3 and is unmounted and unframed. The paper used is luxurious Somerset 300gsm using water safe, non-toxic, Cranfield inks. Numbered and signed in pencil. With my prints, each is individually pulled from hand mixed colours. It is a method which is both beautiful and unpredictable, adding character to each unique design.
