Blue Scrim I is a box-framed stoneware tile.
It is one of a series of four tiles with an abstracted seascape feel, and each tile is presented in a painted wooden box frame.
The textures and dramatic layers of colour are produced using mono print at the unfired stage. Oxide and wax resist, shiny and matt glazes are applied on the second firing.
This stoneware tile is 17cm x 17cm and the finished box-framed tile is 24.5cm x 24.5cm x 4cm deep.
