This barn owl is made from hand printed papers, and his colours, patterns and textures are unique to him. He has a feathery white face and belly, and his head and back is marked with coppery brown shades.
He is perched on a wreath festooned with sunshine yellow honeysuckle blooms, white and yellow clematis flowers, and accompanying leaves.
The whole sculpture is made from recycled paper, which has been hand painted and mono screen printed. Several layers of 300 gsm watercolour paper is used, making the owl very sturdy and strong.
He is varnished with a UV protective layer to seal his edges, and ensure his colours remain vibrant. The owl’s feet and the wreath is made from paper wrapped steel wire.
It hangs on the wall via a small wire hook, suspended with invisible fishing line. It hangs easily on the wall on a picture hook or pin tack. This piece is one of a kind.
Easy to look after: all he needs is a tickle with a feather duster every now and then.
