This baby barn owl sculpture is made from hand printed papers, in white and coppery brown tones.
The textures and patterns are made by drawing patterns freehand onto a silk screen, making the markings of each owl unique. He perches on a wreath of pink hydrangea blooms. Copper lustre was added to the paint, which gives the flowers a rich mottled copper effect, overlaying the pink.
The owl is varnished with a UV protective lacquer, which protects his vibrant colours from the sun, while also keeping him clean – a tickle with a feather duster now and then will keep him as good as new.
He hangs on the wall via a little steel hook, suspended with invisible fishing line.
Made from 300gsm paper and wire. Dimensions: 23cm (9 inches) wide, 26cm (10 inches) tall, 8cm (3 inches) deep.
Hydrangea blooms can be made in any colour you might fancy - just get in touch.
