Would you like to be a part of madebyhandonline.com? There are different ways you can join us to promote your own work, as well as help champion British Contemporary Craft.

Are you a Maker?

Apply to sell with us...

We put a call out for UK based makers to join us at different times of the year and we look to work with makers who will compliment our existing collections, whilst offering something new.  We use a selection panel to help us curate our site. Selected makers sell through our website and we work like agents for them, promoting their businesses to the press, curators and craft loving audiences, as well as seeking out opportunities for them and providing business support for those who'd like it.

We welcome applications from all makers of Contemporary Craft, regardless of their heritage, social background, or whether they've had formal training. We are passionate about Craft and the ways we can help makers. Our aim is to support makers, discover new talent, help remove barriers and strive towards a culture that is diverse and inclusive.

We're closed to applications at the moment. Our next full open application round is planned for the Autumn.

*Please note, we do not sell beauty products, food, candles, paintings or photography.

Join our National Makers Directory...

Our National Makers Directory is open to any UK based maker of Contemporary Craft. The Directory is within our Resources section and does not involve selling work with us (unless you are one of our selected makers). Our audiences can search our Directory by category or region, so it's a great way to promote your skills and your work, and to help more people find you.

This Directory is open to any UK-based maker - we do not have a selection process for this, however we reserve the right to decline requests for listings if deemed unsuitable or if we feel we do not have the right audience for you. Please see our Directory Ts&Cs below. Please note, we don't list beauty products, food, candles, fine art, drawings or photography.

You can have a standard text-only listing for free, or a premium listing for a one-off fee of £25.

A Premium Listing:

  • Up to 200 words description of the Maker’s work.
  • The Maker’s contact details: email address, postal address and telephone number (optional).
  • A link to the Maker's website.
  • A picture of the Maker’s work.
  • The option to list events where the work can be seen.

For a Premium Listing please follow this link to fill in a form with your details and pay the one-off fee.

A Standard Listing:

  • Up to 50 words description of the Maker’s work.
  • The Maker’s contact details: email address, postal address and telephone number (optional).

For a free Standard Listing simply email us your 50 words, address, email address and phone number and we'll set everything up for you.

Please see our Directory Ts&Cs. By submitting your request for a listing it's presumed that you have read and accepted them and that you are happy for your details to be listed in our Directory. You can contact us at any time to make changes to your listing.
