Teresa Green Design presents a unique range of printed textiles designed and hand printed by Teresa Cole in Devon.
I set up Teresa Green in 2000 after graduating in printed textiles from Loughborough University school of art and design, and have exhibited my work nationally and internationally over the past 10 years.
The integrity of natural materials is important to me. All my fabrics are sourced from within the UK, our linen comes from Ireland and our inks are all water based.
The importance of our range having a function is also key - the utilitarian, functionality and the design play equal roles. The items are a canvas for the prints, and are designed around the shape and layout of each object.
I have a passion for antique kitchenallia- especially kitchen scales and ladle shaped spoons. Both grandpas have also fed my imagination with crammed sheds full of old garden objects and treasure- I have an obsession for elongated watering cans and apple ladders….
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
