I make small edition screenprints of colourful subjects that raise a smile. Animals and plants are a main theme, with a nod to mid-century design and a Scandinavian style.
All of my prints are designed and printed by hand. I begin with a pen and ink drawing, which I make a stencil from for the printing process. When my editions are sold out, I adapt my favourite designs to print on ready-made tote bags and hand printed brooches, which make great gifts.
I trained as a textile designer at Liverpool John Moore’s University and U.C.E Birmingham, and spent my early career as a freelance surface pattern designer. I now work from my home based studio, and work on illustration projects and exhibitions in addition to my hand-made portfolio. Commissions are also most welcome.
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
