Rebecca Kitching

I started to realise that people often spend time fidgeting with jewellery, sometimes for comfort or just while day dreaming, even if they realise it or not. I found this very interesting and it inspired me to create a collection of wearable jewellery that is also very tactile - pieces that want to be touched as well as look aesthetically pleasing; quirky and fun pieces with tiny movable parts, fidgety bits and textured elements. The result is not only a decorative piece, but a fun, interactive wearable piece of jewellery.

I make my pieces in silver and they come in either a dark oxidised finish or a polished silver finish.

I studied at York College, completing an ND + HND in 3D Design Crafts, and then studied at Sheffield Hallam University completing a BA (Hons) in Metalwork and Jewellery. Since university I set up my own fully equipped jewellery studio where I work on commissions and restocking my outlets and also regularly attend craft fairs throughout the UK.
