Julia Parry-Jones

A collector by nature, I draw inspiration from fragments, curiosities and hidden treasures.

Fascinated by the minute and delicate, I use a variety of traditional and contemporary jewellery making techniques, combining precious and natural materials embellished with vintage finds. From dainty studs to tumbling neckpieces, I enjoy creating intriguing, eclectic and feminine jewellery, inviting the wearer to explore the hidden narrative within each piece.

My current collection is inspired by the treasure hoarding habits of the bowerbird, and explores a range of materials including precious metals, hardwoods, vintage finds and semi-precious stones. Techniques used include piercing, riveting, stringing and setting, with a particular interest in cold connections.

Since completing my training I have exhibited and sold my work widely through galleries and exhibitions across the UK, recently winning an award for excellence in jewellery from the British Jewellers' Association.

**Julia is currently focusing on her MA. We're looking forward to having a new collection from her in the future...
