Jane Sedgwick

Jane makes bold, playful, wooden jewellery which she turns and paints by hand.  A graduate of the Royal College of Art she has established her studio near the North Norfolk Coast where she also manages a small woodland which provides a sustainable supply of timber for her work.

Jane enjoys working with geometric forms, repetition and colour. She uses traditional woodworking and jewellery skills which she combines with textile techniques such as weaving and knotting to make cordage for threading and linking beads forms.  Inspired by the multidisciplinary approach of modernist movements such as the Bauhaus, Jane also draws on more utilitarian and decorative sources such as Folk Art, vintage toys and costume.

***Jane's studio is temporarily closed. We're looking forward to welcoming her work back to our website soon***

Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
