Fern Robinson was awarded a First Class Degree in BA (Hons) Contemporary Craft from Plymouth College of Art in 2016.
Fern’s jewellery was first inspired by the simplicity of a child’s interaction with objects, which began her fascination with the urge we have to touch and play.
The pieces are childishly sophisticated with vibrant shards of crayon in tactile resin that aim to create a uniquely fun relationship between jewellery and owner.
‘I aim to create a moment of joy and intrigue’.
She enjoys taking an intuitive approach to the making of her work, developing the designs through hands on experimentation. The designs have a post-modern aesthetic with vibrant colour and geometric form, gleaming with joy.
Fern welcomes commissions, especially with the colour combinations encapsulated in her resin jewellery to make it perfect for you!
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
