Anne Morgan is an award winning established contemporary jeweller. She was awarded best stand at The Contemporary Craft Festival and Made by Hand in 2014. She won silver in the craft&design; Selected Awards 2013. She was also commissioned to design and make the crown for the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2012.
Anne opened her new jewellery gallery in October 2015 where she makes and sells her work as well as 30 other jewellers.
Anne enjoys silver’s potential for texture and her ranges explore the relationship of look and feel in the materials she uses. Her creations proudly show off their origins through workshop experimentation. This is what makes her reticulated silver surfaces particularly unique: each marks a precise moment in which she withdraws her flame from part-liquefied silver. Once she has perfected these surfaces Anne offsets them with strong lines, and combines them with colours and textures of semi-precious stones.
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
