I am in love with the purity and whiteness of porcelain clay and the amazing effects that it brings to life in lighting. I employ simple, clean design and endeavour for my pieces to have a classic and effortless feel and as such to be enjoyed over a lifetime.
I make functional lighting as well as bespoke illuminated installations and artworks. My watercolour paintings feed my work in porcelain and the freedom and fluidity is a helpful partner to the precision and delicacy of working with porcelain.
I am inspired by architectural forms, as well as by water and light creating ever changing seascapes. I enjoy the flowing forms and movement to create dynamism and flow. I work from my studio on Shoreham Beach, near Brighton, Sussex.
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.
Perhaps you need accessories to go with a particular outfit or a piece of furniture to fit a specific space in your home. We can work with you to design something truly unique. You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
This is just a first step, so don't worry, there’ll be plenty of chances to discuss details before finalising a commission.
