I love the beauty and clarity of porcelain and I enjoy the freedom of hand-building my pieces one by one and seeing their shapes appear. I add gold and platinum lustres at the final firing stage, filling my work with depth, optimism and light. I like the contrast between the smooth, luxurious, almost mirrored interior of my pieces and the natural tactile exterior which I leave unglazed.
I am inspired by nature and natural forms and every piece is made in the palm of my hand. I never make anything larger than I can comfortably hold and create there because I want to keep the connection with the clay throughout the making process. No two pieces are ever the same, each piece is individual and unique; some are small and precious, others larger and more sculptural, reminiscent of fire and water.
I am passionate about hand-made products and the joy and inspiration that they bring. I believe that every piece of hand crafted pottery carries the touch of the maker within it, and when you pick it up for the first time, their hand slips into yours.
Commissioning a piece of work is really exciting – it is a chance to have something made especially for you and an opportunity to really engage in the creative process.

You’ll be able to discuss your ideas, likes and dislikes with the Maker and together create a piece of craft, handmade for you.
